The course is particularly aimed at personnel who carry out lice counts, and is suitable for:
- Fishfarmers who work with the production of salmon fish in the seawater phase
- Fish health personnel and others involved in the work of counting and combating salmon lice
- Administrative personnel and others in the industry who want information on this topic
The aim of the course is to learn and recognize and register salmon lice, distinguish between different lice stages, and see the difference between salmon lice and barnacle lice. Fish welfare is also central to the course, which deals with how the counts should be carried out in a good and responsible way. The course consists of two lessons focusing on the following topics:
- The biology of salmon lice
- How to distinguish different louse stages and the species
- Best practice in lice counting
Sluttprøve og kursbevis
The course ends with the participant having their knowledge repeated by answering questions related to topics covered in the various lessons. After the questions have been answered, the course participant will receive a course certificate showing that the necessary knowledge has been acquired and that the intention of the regulations has been achieved.
